11th September 2026 Tony & Faye’s – Warradale Hotel Dinner.

A Dinner was organised for Friday 11th September at the Warradale Hotel (had done the usual pre-dinner check, relatively quiet and plenty of parking). Arrived at 6:15 p.m. as the hosts, for a 6:30 booking for 30. The car park was ‘packed to the hilt’ seems the warmer weather of spring brings ‘em out in droves, (even had security on the door).

We booked for 30 initially, and 27 with a couple of late cancellations attended.

A mix of the usual suspects and some new members enjoyed a few cordials and sat down to enjoy a meal. The waitress assigned to our booking, asked me to let her know when all the guests had arrived and she would take those table by table up to order and pay for the meal. Sounds pretty simple, the comment that came from members was it worked really well and might be suggested to venues at future dinners. Meals arrived fairly quickly, and as usual, the chatter disappeared while meals were consumed, a few drinks and conversation followed, and as usual we were left alone in what had been a crowded dining room. Meals were off the ‘Pub Menu’ and not restricted to a ‘set menu’, the general feedback was that everyone really enjoyed their meals and even though Sean had to drop Kirsty off and go to work, he got back in time to have a meal before the kitchen closed at 9:30.

All in all, it was a great night out, with good tucker and great company.
