Club Run to Wellington Hotel via the ferry. (site of the first "punt" crossing in SA)

Met at Macca's, Goodwood Road, Kings Park at 9:00 am on the 9th of the 9th. It was a lovely cool clear morning with a forecast in the low 20s. Had a few apologies before we got started, ending up with nine Corvettes ready for the run, plus a visit from Alan Orchard (in his black C3), with a friend from Canberra.

Heading off about 9:30 we travelled up Cross road to the SE Freeway turning off at Crafers, {all good so far}, heading for Piccadilly a glitch shut down the GPS, resulting in a "U" turn [bugger]. We continued on eventually arriving in Nairne, where our illustrious leader [Prez] was waiting to join the "convoy".

We continued on using the back roads, through Kanmantoo, past Monarto and on to Swanport Road in Murray Bridge, where we rejoined the freeway. A short stop [pit] at Tailem Bend for fill or empty at Coles Express, then on to the Wellington Ferry.

Arriving a little earlier than our booking, found the "Welly" quite busy. There was an Eight Ball presentation in progress, with a band playing on the deck outside.

We were asked to order our meals quickly, as there was a group of 40 to follow.
Meals came out reasonably quickly, and were the usual style of "pub grub" (plates were full). Attendees had an enjoyable time, with a beautiful day for a cruise.

Thanks to those who made the day enjoyable, at the end we said our goodbyes and headed home via Strathalbyn, Mt Barker and Murray Bridge.
Cheers Tony & Faye.
