For all those car show lovers here we go again with mad February commencing with Super Chevy Sunday.
The organizers were presented with a perfect 31degree sunny day this year which resulted in an entry field of around 170 gleaming Chevs of all ages and to include several travelling over from Victoria. The Gleneagles oval looked a treat and the organizers again looked after everyone with the facilities they had available.
The line up of Corvettes was impressive with thirty six counted in total which was the largest group of any Chev product there taking up more than the one full line across the oval put aside.
The high standard of vehicles on display continued on from previous years and it is always hard to pick the best in any group when completing the entrant's choice votes. Unfortunately none of our club members were successful in being awarded any of the three trophies allocated in the Corvette category however Laurie won the early entrant raffle draw of $100 and Sean the "Billy Cart" stuffed with goodies in the fund raiser raffle. Congratulation to both.
Thank you to all those who attended from the Corvette Club of South Australia Inc. to help make the day a success.
A great day had by all who attended and we wish the Chevrolet Performance Association of South Australia Inc. every success in organizing the 40th Chev Nationals to be held in Mt Gambier over 21st to 24th October this year.           Article by John Randell
