The day started with breakfast at West Beach Surf Lifesaving Club at 9.30 am. And then the heavens opened up:- it bucketed down, but once inside, 17 of us enjoyed a hot cooked brecky at a relaxing pace as departure was 11 am. This was a poker run & when we fired up the cars we could see it was definitely an alternative run with 1 Corvette (KB & Margaret's), 1 Ford Xr6, 1 Ford 4x4, 1 Subaru, 1 Mitsubishi, 1 Holden SS, 1 Hybrid. We stopped at Cavan for the 2nd pick in the poker run. From here we travelled to Ingle Farm for lunch at Cafe Numero Uno. Here we sat & chatted while the rain pelted down before it finally let up. It was also nice to meet & welcome Simon's wife, Sharon. Thanks Laurie & Margaret for a good day out. The winners of the Poker Run were Maelyn (1st) & Simon (2nd)
