Sunday morning looked grey & windy. BUT that did not stop the boys from bringing out their toys to play. We had about 12 Corvettes, 1 Chevvy Blazer, a Porsche 928s & 1 red Commodore turn up to the Engine Bay on Saints Road at Salisbury, for he day. Most of the girls got lifted so the blokes could peek under their skirts & admire their undercarriages. Lunchtime came around & Dave & birthday boy Larry donned the aprons to feed the gang.
We did learn a few things, such as KB's handbrake skids his front wheels on the brake test, (but he is a bit special). We discovered that not many Vettes have operational handbrakes and some cars have more gaffer tape than they should. This was the first time that this event has been held north of the city and a few southerners made the trip into hostile territory.
Thanks to Dave & Rob Prime for arranging this with his mate Nathan Coffey at the Engine Bay, for opening up his workshop on a Sunday, the use of the hoists & testing the car brakes on their brake pad , giving each car a free diagnostic report.
