Seeing as I put my hand up to get the Corvettes to the GM day I was also asked to do a short write up of the day, maybe someone else should do this as I am going to get stuck in to all and sundry. We (Margaret and I (KB)) were on time but were not the first to get there. We were beaten by 3 other cars Pete (alias Maori Pete), Rudy and Kaye and Jan and Doug, then Alan arrived with his rattle and wanted me to fix it which I did then we had a text from Pam at 8.05am that Danny was late I think his actions were in the wrong direction and not on getting to the meeting point. When he did get to pick up Pam he also then needed to get motion lotion (petrol). I sent a message to them that we were not waiting past 8.30am and started to leave just as they got to Todd St. Good; all is well in Corvette land and we are on our way to the Holy Grail (GM Day at Tanunda). At this point I would like to say a big thank you to Jan and Doug as this was the first time Jan had driven her car out on the freeway and over 60KMH. We got to Gawler at 9.00am and picked up 3 more Corvettes but no Larry and Kathy. We arrived at the GM Tanunda oval and proceeded to set up our cars and then went in search of some shade so that we could hibernate away from the sun. In doing this we were able to check out all the cars and activity in comfort. This was the biggest turnout and once the oval was filled to capacity, the rest of the cars had to park around the oval. Those of us who turned up had our usual great day. Thanks to all that came and enjoyed the day with us we will continue to do the same wherever we go KB
