After all the crappy weather recently, Sunday morning turned out to be perfect, not only for a leisurely walk along the beach but also for those who got up even earlier for a drive to Birdwood.

Overall numbers were down slightly on last year's walk however there was an increase in those participating from our club, which was great to see.

One couple who will remain nameless, forgot the start time and were busy cutting lawns when they got the "where are you phone call". They did make it in time and completed the walk holding hands as per normal. 

A  seal splashing in the shallows entertained walkers as did the bloke on the hydrofoil surfboard.

Lunch was again at the Henley Hotel which put on a splendid spread. The whole Clan McPhee joined us this year too.

Thank you to those who made the effort to walk for a great cause. It was very much appreciated by Heart Kids.
