John and Jenny’s Corvette

	Name - John & Jenny Member no - 93 Corvette details - 40th Anniversary Model. C4 Coupe Year of manufacture – 1993 Year of purchase – 2002 Engine - 5.7 Litre LT1 Transmission type – 4 speed Auto Of interest – 6,749 40th Anniversary option (RPOZ25) units were produced which included Ruby Red metallic paint externally, Ruby Red leather sports trim, power seats, special wheel centres and badgers. Our Corvette includes climate control, glass roof and chrome wheels.
History of our Corvette - We are the second owner of this Corvette. It was originally purchased by a South Australian baker in Waikerie, who went to America to see it off of the production line. It was driven around over in the States for a while and then brought to Australia and converted to RHD by Corvette Queensland in 1997.
The 40th Anniversary has been acknowledged in the form of a trophy for originality for its model at the last Canberra National Convention in 2009 which we are very proud of. Our Corvette replaced a previous 1984 Cross Fire coupe which required a great deal of attention to get it up to a presentable condition but as a result was able to gain knowledge about the basic mechanicals and body which gave a good grounding to take the plunge 9 years ago to update to a later model and know what to look for. Since we have owned it we have spent many pleasurable kilometres using it whenever we get the chance.
	Work undertaken since we have owned it - Superficial work only has been required to keep it in good condition such as replacing deteriorated body weather seals, regular servicing. Favourite outings - Conventions, Club runs, Zippel Cruises and any time the weather is nice and we have time to spare.
