It has a nitrous oxide injected 350 tune port injected engine, cold air induction kit, Turbo 700 transmission with a shift kit. The rest of the car is standard and standard in appearance.
This car arrived in Australia in October 2001 as a new import. I purchased the car in March 2002 from Bennett's car auctions here in Adelaide. It needed some TLC, new roof, power steering, ignition keys, leather interior needed replacement and of coarse a conversion from left to right hand drive.
This is a chain conversion that leaves everything under the bonnet with factory standard part numbers and steering geometry standard (just what our vehicle inspection station likes).
As I only had old Chevrolets in the past that I have drag raced and cruised, I wanted to keep it simple as this cars electronics etc seemed very daunting.
After working on the car over the years I've found it to be fairly simple and challenging, and been able to do most jobs myself.
